Did my all time heaviest on leg press machine today. 110lbs! May not seem like a lot to some but for me it was my heaviest. 3 sets, 8 reps. Guess all that hiking on vacation helped!!

Kennyn, I know u are right ..I am just very competitive!💪 YOH, thank you! I was so proud of myself and then got home and started googling stuff and made myself feel bad...damn Google😂😂 I spoke to my trainer ( I was doing training when I achieved this) and she reminded me that I wasn't counting sled or bar weight. So a little confused as to what sled/ bar weighs but I read anywhere from 25-50 lbs..

That's amazing. I did legs today too 🙃 only 2 - 45lb plates (90lb), but I never thought about the sled/bar. So we're doing better than we thought 😂 score 👍

I have not done leg presses on a machine but all I will say is that any time you get a PB that is a win!!! Keep up the good work and maybe that machine helps build our 🍑! If so I am going to go find one! 🤣

Red porch, that's why my trainer suggested we include leg presses. It will help build my 🍑 And yes, I have my feet high and wide. I'm counting my PB as 135, I'll check machine tomorrow to see the weight. Cheese damn girl, you are strong! That's incredible!!!💪💪💜💜

Im going to weigh in on the leg press—always loved this machine. You can also move your feet in closer to get a slightly different burn also but i put mine about shoulders distance apart and feet straight up. Currently im at 200 lbs 3 sets 10 reps on both legs and 120 lbs 3x10 on single leg leg press. This movement is so helpful in building strength for all kinds of everyday activities and is great for the bum!!! Im struggling with inner/outer. 45 lbs on outer and 50 on inner. Afraid to go higher but will see. On the other hand im very weak on upper body. We all have different areas that are easier for us right? Cheesy you are a monster girl! 230 x 8 x10. Im bowing down to you. I cant remember what i did when i was your age but just wow.

YOH, Wow I didn't realize I was. that weak.. Id better get to work . As for feet placement, my trainer has done 3 different foot placements but today we did high and wide.

Diana you are not that weak!!! Have you met you! You do upper boy stuff that i dont do. You need to compare yourself to yourself not anyone else. For example: Redporchlady—-i am in awe and so wish i had her gorgeous gorgeous legs and arms but im not built like that so will never happen. See what i mean? You keep doing what you are doing. The point is to be the healthiest strongest version of yourself without losing yourself to obsession and comparison. Tough to do in todays world but important for mental health. Im also competitive. Highly competitive and the stress i placed on myself ruined my adrenal glands over time so just food for thought. Also cuz i have mass affection for you Diana. Just keep listening to your trainer. Cheesy, well she’s just a phenomenal little (albeit grown up) kid🥰 and im not entirely sure she’s a real human cuz she’s so phenomenal. And yes, i actually mean that. She’s, funny, smart, hardworking, strong and good mommy and then the fairy godmothers made her pretty. What a racket.

Cheesy, a few months ago i tried to go from 180 to 190 per something supergainz inspired and didnt realize it was 200. I think part of it is muscle memory from the previous 30+ years in the gym before i got sick 8 years ago. I also upped my calories to (most of the time) 1000-1200 in the past few months. And i walk. A lot. Been walking 4-5 miles a day since last October roughly and 8-10 miles this past month. Strong legs. Weak arms. Strong abs. Weak chest. Strong back. True story. But i also dont work out like i used to when i was young. 5x a week minimum. Now just 2x in gym with trainer and sometimes once at home. Tho we have a fully equipped gym at home so i have no excuses and hubs works out 7 days a week even tho he KNOWS muscles need recovery he cant help himself.

Ps cheesy honestly i just drink a protein shake before going to workout and walk 3 miles to get there. That’s it.

Cheesy, girlfriend, Ive been around for nearly 6 decades and have worked with the public for 30 years. You, my love, are most definitely NOT like everyone else. You are a superstar and also a kind girl with a great sense of humor. Your daddy was most def proud of you. I would be. It’s okay to own it. I know i am a pretty wonderful human it just took me 50 years to be able to believe it. Start now. You are not like anyone else. You are phenomenal.

Cheesy i do so many squats! No deadlifts. I do jumping squats, squats with weights tho not heavy weights (careful of hip when not more controlled with a machine). I do squats with arm presses (squat, stand up, arm press or sometimes bicep curls) and more. My trainer loves me but loves to make me sweat also. I also do tons of lunges many variations. My lower body is pretty much leg press, adductor/abductor, squats, lunges and mountain climbers. Think thats about it.

I say if comparing yourself to others drives you to be better, then by all means do it. But if it makes you feel bad about yourself then don’t. I always compare myself to others, and draw huge inspiration from seeing their lifts. If it’s higher than mine then it shows me it’s a possibility then it becomes goal.

Diana- the sled is probably 100 pounds. I may be crazy but 25 pounds seems very low and not any leg press I have ever used. ;)

Storm girl, Rn, thank you! 💜 Super, I am VERY competitive, even with myself. It definitely motivates me but I'll be honest, I did feel a bit deflated after findIng out what others pressed. ( I thought I was on same track as a few other women lifters..) I am just confused about how much I really did press as I only counted plates. 💪 Davisprincess,Im so confused! I hope to get more info at gym today. I got pretty discouraged after my post...🤐
