I'm so upset right now and went on ate everything I could see last night. I have been pushing and working so incredibly hard to get to a goal that has proven to be unattainable the fat I was trying to loose isn't fat it's loose skin and I have unknowinlgy managed to get down to an unhealthy body fat percentage of around 5 percent!!! I thought I was closer to 16. I bought calipers and tested wit both the 3 point and 7 point method repeatedly and the result were always the same.. I even got a pair of regular digital measuring calipers and measured the opening of the body fat calipers to ensure they were accurate and they are..... I'm devastated I know that these tests can be wrong also and it depends alot in the person administering them but in this case they are hard to fuck up thw skin easily pulls away from the body and there's almost nothing under it. I tried My hardest to get higher readings because I was in denial and still couldn't..I worked so hard with such insane dedication and persistence and I'm left like this. Now I have to put some fat back on because this is just a plain unhealthy level of body fat no wonder rim fucking cold all the time. And all that will do is put me further from the physique I was after. I give up. I would live for all this to be wrong but I. CAnt imagine it is nearly all the caliper readi gs were between 3 and 4 mm with the highest being the navel registering around 6 most times and like I said I even checked the calipers for accuracy with another set of calipers.

There are people on here way worse off in the loose skin department, just work on bulking up a little and maybe it'll tighten those loose areas up more. You'll feel better doing a lean bulk. ,💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

Sucks to hear that news man... you really have 2 options if you can’t stand the loose skin. Surgery or set a new goal... to build more muscles. 180 lean at 12% fat, I don’t think thats impossible to build. The reason I say I think is cuz I’m currently on that road. And that size will definitely fill that skin up cuz muscle is more voluminous than fat. But you got a base to bulk on now tho, with that low of a bodyfat moderate surplus and you’ll be on your way buddy

You need to give yourself a break. You've lost a good bit of weight and should be proud of yourself. Like others have said working on building muscle would be good right now. Skin will tighten some over time - Any woman that gained 50 pounds during pregnancy will tell you it takes time.

Also, the key to looking leaner without actually being leaner, is building muscle. I'm near 22% bf right now. Flex Fridays look good enough to me. I'm working on getting leaner but I'm in no hurry.

I'm sorry you're so worried, but I think that if you don't have stretch marks, something can be done without reaching the operating room, try to moisturize the skin a lot with firming creams, although it is best to ask your doctor for advice, and if he does not know about the subject refer you to a dermatologist. Cheer up, everything can be arranged except death, but that's for now, they're researching it.😊

Oh nooo. I’m so sorry about how you’re feeling. I’ve been there for different reasons. I can tell you that your skin will tighten it just needs time. You”re still young and your skin elasticity will kick in. My nephew lost 20pounds and he had the same issue with loose skin. Also I’m gonna say something I’m not great at following. Don’t get stuck on the numbers. They are there to guide us. Sending you virtual hugs and support. Other thing you could consider for your skin is to start finding ways to help it recover (lotions, laser light, etc… )

I hear your pain and frustration, Otb. Please, before you go crazy in the kitchen, schedule labs with your doctor and find out what is happening with your blood and organs first. Your diet is really healthy and I hope that if you do put on 10-15 pounds that you do it by simply eating bigger portions of your current menu. ✌️

Looking at your weight loss history, you lost weight very rapidly, in a few months you were already at goal. I think maybe 67Kg is too low for you indeed. I'd skip any cardio exercise you do and just concentrate on strength training, and it totally sucks, but it may be good for you to gain a little bit of weight as well. Scary shit, I know... Stay positive, this is a life change, not a few months change. Our bodies are changing all the time so we need to also be adjusting all the time. Good luck!

I agree with the above statements - you can be a little less conservative with your calories, but work to fill out with muscle. You proved that you can be disciplined and you are in the best shape ever. Now you have the envious position of having a platform to build upon.

Forgive all, but a tip with good intentions if you are profane in the matter, can be counterproductive, the first thing does not stress you or have anxiety Otb123, and do what should be done talk to a specialist that they are prepared and see cases daily of rapid weight loss, will value you and advise or help you, Then with the prescribed criteria you will make your decision, but do not do something you may regret.

We are not talking about a recipe that each cook makes his own, we are talking about the physical and emotional health of a person, in this case I consider a Good Friend.

I think it will tighten up over time. Bulking and gaining muscle will help pull the skin tighter as well. You have come a long way and have had great success. It is time to push yourself to grow now with a small 300 calorie surplus. Focus on increasing strength and muscle growth while continuing to eat healthy. I'm sorry that I got you worried about bodyfat % after reading my post. I don't want you give up on your goals. You are so much healthier now. That is the most important thing. Just keep pushing forward. I don't know your height, but, bulking to 170-180lbs sounds like a good plan. During this bulk, you will be giving your skin more time to tighten. After the bulk, do a cut and see how the skin reacts. Think marathon and not a sprint. You got this!

It will tighten up overtime. Keep moisturizing your skin. It took you years to do that to your body, give it time to tighten. Dont waste the hard work, perseverance and time you put it.

You should add some collagen somewhere to improve the elasticity of your skin. And definitely moisturize and stay hydrated.

I understand your frustration and don't worry about venting here because at some point we all have an issue of some kind to deal with. There is some great advice already posted here. I do agree with Diablo & SuperGainz about bulking up with more muscle. In some areas the skin will just need to firm up where you have lost weight. I was complaining to my husband about my loose skin and he said have surgery and for me I said no. Too many surgeries and needles with cancer I said I am just going to accept it and move on. Be the best with my diet and keep strength training. Thanks for sharing and you will find what your next step is on your journey because you are aware!
