Obese to Beast and Shirl, thank you! I'm stuck. Am considering calling the Dr that is doing the lead extraction as she was wanting to do surgery sooner than later. I do if that will be productive or not though...☹️

I will just say this that a few months ago I was trying to recover from a devastating event and my physical therapist was suddenly and unexpectedly out of town and they cancelled my appointments for two weeks. I had just told her on my last visit that I was so happy to have finally found someone to help me with my physical challenges. The office didn’t tell me what really happened when they cancelled and when I met with her it had to do with the unexpected and sudden death of a parent. They just don’t cancel because they found cheap tickets to a vacation. Be open, kind, and considerate that like everyone they have life circumstances that are not planned. It’s going to be okay just breathe. 

Honeebuns, first off, I hope you are ok! Did you have an accident? As for my Dr, I did consider that he could've had a family issue or something like that but the way his office manager said it was, "The Dr decided to go out of town." That made me think it was more a casual thing. Regardless, I can't do anything about it and I wasn't rude to his OM as I knew she couldn't do much about it either. I did let her know I was disappointed.Im just frustrated at the situation 🩷🩷🩷 

Oh gosh that is frustrating, and you have been patiently waiting! Hopefully there are no other delays and that they do have you penciled in for the surgery even though this consultation is delayed.  

Is there another thoracic that the surgeon uses perhaps they can send you to? It’s possible he had an emergency but it is equally possible he decided to go out of town. My surgeon decided to take five days off the last week i was in Newport Beach and one of his staff said he does that when they are slow. So who knows but if there is another thoracic that might be an option? 

I would call the Doctor doing the extraction. It can't hurt & maybe they can set you up with another Doctor to approve your surgery. 

YOH, I thought of that but I keep hearing the cardio specialist say he was the best. I dk, I guess I'll just wait. This procedure is riskier than a normal extraction as the leads are intertwined. I do want the best drs for sure! 🩷 RPL, Sherrye, The office manager said she is one that makes the appointments for surgery and she will do her best to keep it on the 30th. I hope she can!🩷 Fritzy, I am frustrated but does me no good to be that way so hopefully I can overcome...🩷🩷 

On the brighter side time flies by and it will be Halloween before you know it and hopefully surgery is behind you on that day! 

Diana, Yes I understand that..if it has to be done then let's get it over. I have learned though to trust God's timing (not mine) in all matters. I hope that everything goes smoothly and that all of this is behind you soon. 🙏💙🙏 

Oh Diana that is so frustrating. Why is it the "best" always seem so dumb when it comes to patients?  

I had a recent experience with my doctor. His officed left a message that my appointment in two days was canceled. I called the next day to reschedule. The person on the phone told me I would have to wait six weeks because it was a reschedule. When I protested , she passed my call on to someone else. That person was able to get me in the same week as my original appointment. My lovely Wife taught me how and when to protest... 

I know the feeling. I had no surgery date and was admitted as an emergency Diana as nd had to wait for an OR opening to go in. Thankfully it was quick. It was either that or wait til October for a date that could be changed at any point. Praying things get solidified for you very soon. 🙏🏻💜💜💜 

Wow. I’m sorry. Sounds unprofessional on the Drs part. Unless he had a family emergency. Praying they keep their word. This may sound korny, but may God had this happen for a reason. Maybe this cancellation prevented something negative from happening. 

rc, yes, I have been praying for a good resolution.🙏 Carb abuser, I know,right?! I am trying to stay positive but I'm can't lie, anxiety is there ..🩷 wifey, I know I'm just frustrated but it's making me anxious..guess I just need to pray about it..I didn't realize you went in as an emergency. I'm just happy you are recovering well!🩷🩷🙏🙏 John, part of my issue is that I live in Nevada. I have to make plans to travel etc and I have no definitive date..I decided just to wait it out and see what happens. Good advice though!👍 

Hopefully taking a break/ taking care of some issue will help your doctor perform to his/her best. Praying for you Diana 🙏. 

Storms, I am trying not to judge..and I did think of what you said about God has a reason to postpone it .. you never know ..🙏🩷
