I am taking a wee bit of a break from strict adherence to my WOE because I was starting to get burnt out and needed a reset. After this next week I'll get back to it. A gain like this used to freak me out, but I've found that a reset for me is part of the process because it helps to keep my journey sustainable, making it work for me. I couldn't always say that. So I'm proud of myself that I've evolved to this point. I'm in control, not my addiction. That's a great NSV for the week. 😁

I can relate. I can get very fed up with too much deprivation. I have to know that at some point there will be a piece of pizza or an ice cream or a cookie in my future.

Yep, Kenna, that's right. Exactly why I hit reset. I have learned that a phase of moderation where I relax a bit, have a wee bit here and there of what I usually don't, and then get back to business is the way to succeed. Being strict all the time will lead to a sense of being deprived, and desperation to have those things. The difference this time around is knowing how to do it in moderation and go back, versus completely going off the rails.

totally agree. seems to of worked for me too. I just took 8 months to learn to maintain and I was able to hold it down. you e got this. trust yourself. 💪🏼

Do you lift? If you do that’s actually good, to go higher in cals and when you do decide to cut back down you’d have built some lean mass

Sometimes it's good to take a break. I do really good for about 2-3 weeks, then I get burned out.. just be mindful of what your end goal is and I think you'll be fine 👍💜

No, Super, I wish! Long time ago I used to lift and I loved it. I was actually hoping to transition into it this summer, but I'm not in a position to. Memorial Day I was hit with something debilitating, and most days it keeps me bed-bound. I have an appointment with a neurologist on Tuesday and hopefully she can find some answers. So far none of the other doctors and specialists have been able to. So most days I try to use my resistance bands to keep my muscles from eroding away. But I'm optimistic that this will get figured out and I can take all the great information that you and the other awesome lifters have given, and use it to transform my body.

Thank you, StormsGirl! 💚. That is very appreciated. Yeah, it's been frustrating. I had major plans for the summer, memorizing the bedroom ceiling not being one of them...LOL. 😃 I had to knock back my calories to compensate for the lack of movement, hence the break. My poor poochies are very upset about the sudden stop in walks. We were doing 3+ miles a day. Now I'm lucky if I clock in 2000 steps a day. I can only imagine what my poor girls are thinking.

I just read the cmoments and Im just thinking, WOW! it's really amazing and honestly inspiring to see that despite your setback you've kept pushing and found other alternatives, like using resistance bands. You're doing an amazing job, keep up the great work! I really hope you get to the bottom of these health issues!

It makes total sense to focus on your health, you can get back to weight loss when you re feeling better. Hope you feel more vitality soon.
