Dug my starting photo out from the archives and took a current one after FatSecret contacted me a few days ago asking If they could use my story to inspire others on their social media accounts. I was pretty happy to hear my journey from Fat to Fit was a noteworthy FatSecret success story. I started here January 1st 2022 at just over 200 lbs as a new years resolution to lose 25lbs. Instead I lost over 52 pounds while gaining muscle and have since gained 12 pounds from my lowest weight In October after putting all my efforts Into gaining more muscle mass. The FatSecret app and all of you in the community have really helped me to far exceed my intial goal and take me to a place I never could have imagined ending up at. My goal for each day now is to be alittle bit better than I was the day before. My keys to success were daily walking, aiming for over 12k steps a day and Strength training multiple times a week. I also prepped my food and tracked all of my intake including weighing all of my food and hitting my macro goals of 50 percent carbs 30 percent protein and 20 percent fats. I continue to eat mostly whole foods high carb high protein and low fat but that is just my choice. Calories in calories out is what every successful diet has in common! Consistency is key and you absolutely can go from fat to fit and then maintain it if you put in the effort each and every day. This is a never ending journey and there is no finish line! Many of you know I have had a few speed bumps to overcome along the way but I always dust myself off and get right back after my goals. I hope to continue to help and inspire others as I share my training progress for this years Spartan and tough mudder races.
