Feeling burnt out from work and just don't have the same drive and intensity in the gym this week. It's been 15 weeks of intense lifting and I think I might call it quits on The bulk 2 weeks early. Maybe A change In focus will kick things Into gear again and get me out if this funk I'm in. I just dont feel like I'm making the progress I had been either 😕 I guess being on call 6 of the last 8 weeks has finally broken me, it's amazing I didn't burn out sooner.

You’ve done well. Burnout is not good. My brother hit a wall a couple years ago and ended up with shingles. Don’t do that. Listen to body and mind. You have my support!! 💪🏻🙃

Wifey9707 thanks appreciate the support! going into a deficit certainly isn't going to help with the burn out but I'm hoping the change in focus will help me a bit mentally. I just took all my pictures so I can measure my progress as I start to slim down and I'm going to take all my measurements now as well. Just looking in the mirror I definitely packed on way more fat this past week than any week prior. No point pushing myself and eating like crazy only to be packing mostly fat on and not progressing in the gym the way I should be. I'm going to tmatart at 2500 calories and see where that takes me I don't want to do anything too extreme deficit wise

Wow that's tough. Sounds like a break is a good idea both from work and the gym.

You got this and everyone needs a day of rest and relaxation and recovery. It’s a lifestyle choice and change not a quick fix. Our weight didn’t happen overnight so we just have to keep changing little habits and keep improving and then we we will see a change. I know I was exactly like this I wanted fast changes and weight loss . It’s better to do it gradually because it will definitely stay off then a quick change. You got this and when I get like this I go in prayer and rest and water and a walk even if I have to go to local stores or mall or get on a treadmill. Walking always makes me feel better and talking to God . Little change adds up over time and I know most people don’t see it until they see the weight loss . I sometimes just dance around the house and lose weight

Anyways you got this and your mind set needs encouragement. We like to beat ourselves up over little things like our weight

Working like that can be exhausting enough without adding to that trying to adhere to a demanding healthy regimen like you have been on. It sounds like your body is needing physical rest and so is your mind.I learned as a critical care nurse that our bodies will let us know when we have had enough. I think you will find that if you give into the idea of resting some you will "heal" faster. And too much stress can often cause illness as suggested.

I worked a job that we manned 24/7/365. Shift changes every few days/weeks. Burn out and feeling funky is real. Although there's no such thing as catching up on rest I hope you're feeling recharged pronto

so sorry. Don't let those feelings completely derail you. it's hard to get back on track once you backslide.

I get that. My employers are burning me out. They could care less if they break us! Hard to get proper recovery/rest time when they constantly overwork you. Prayers.

Hope you get some deserved rest and a new feeling of focus when you’re ready for it!

Get some rest and regroup. I think once you are rested you will find your groove. Ive taken off a few days of heavy lifting, just doing weights at home cuz my husband is so sick. Taking care of him is where I need to be...💜

Just take a few days or even a week to rest. Then switch to maintenance mode. You are still at a point where you can build muscle and burn fat while maintaining the same weight.

Get the rest your body is craving. I tell myself ITS ONLY TEMPORARY! It is frustrating when the mind and the inner spirit want to acheive something but the body is not cooperating!

Maybe you need to get out of the gym and join friends and/or family for some fun and games when you get a chance and aren’t working so hard.. Play is a Huge part of a happier life.

Hope you feel better soon. Burnout is real, I've been there. Taking time to rest, reduce stress and recharge your batteries can help.

I hear your frustration & your tiredness. You can't force your way out of a funk. Your body needs the rest & it's telling you to slow down. Like others have said, spend quality time with your loved ones, your beautiful family. Your motivation & "why" will come back after your mind-body is rested enough. 🫂
