My February goal was to lose between 5-7 pounds and I lost 8! I had hoped to only weigh myself once a month, but I did check the scale from time to time just to make sure I was on track. I was worried about the goal so planned on fasting for 72 hours Friday - Sunday. But didn't manage it on Friday. Saturday I was really hungry so made a 3 egg omelet. Yesterday I only had liquids, including my morning cup of hot chocolate.
My goal is the same 5-7 pounds which seems realistic to me. What I really like about a month goal and ignoring the scale for most of the month is that 5-7 pounds will make me happy. When I weighed myself daily I would expect and usually be disappointed and frustrated if I wasn't losing 3 - 4 pounds a week.
It does remind me a bit of my Weight Watcher days where I wouldn't eat anything a day or two before the weekly weigh in, but I could indulge in pizza or something at the beginning of the week knowing I had time to make it up. I may order a pizza today!

Thanks Broccolibabe! I didn't follow plan today, stopped at Carl's Jr for a burger and fries! But I did that the beginning of February too and did fine for most of the rest of the month.

Well Done.!!! I eventually want to get to monthly weigh in, I started last Wednesday not to touch the scale til this Wednesday.
I too find stepping on the scale stressful if it goes up a 10th of a pound or just stays there for a couple days.
