Weight was up by 2/10 of a pound this morning to 240.4, giving me a week's loss of 1.8 pounds. I really wanted it to be two pounds, because that would have been a record, but I'm trying to learn, "in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content."

Planning to have very low calories here at the beginning of the week, because I'm going to get Cracker Barrel Homestyle Chicken Breasts on Friday (which will last me for two days, along with a side salad for each day, which I will eat with real buttermilk ranch dressing, which is high in calories.

This week's average daily calorie consumption was 1,694. I had wanted it to be more around the 1,650 range, but made a couple of planned indulgences which brought it up. This week, my goal is to keep the average calories in the 1,500's.

I'm thankful that I've been blessed with consistent losses. For every week of the ten weeks, I've lost something. The lowest was 0.2 pounds and three times it has been as high as 1.8 pounds. The 0.2 and the 0.8 (the two lowest) were both in average of 1,700+ calorie weeks. My "sweet spot" seems to be in the 1,500's and 1,600's, where I've lost at least 1.4 pounds a week. So, my plan is to stay in the lower end of that range the majority of the time, but have at least one week a month where I push the higher end to keep my metabolism from settling too low for me to be able to maintain.

It's all a guessing game, but overall it is working for me. Everyone's body is different, and we all have different strengths and weaknesses. I really don't think there is ONE "right" diet for everyone. We each just need to find what works for us. For me, it's a diet that allows for two slices of Dave's Killer Bread toasted with butter (one for breakfast and one in the middle of the night), and three cans of Diet Coke. By allowing myself those luxuries, I don't feel deprived.
