Just finished a 24 hour water fast. The Daniel fast is working for me, I am never hungry. But just needed a rest from all the beans and other roughage my system is not used to in the quantities I've been eating. Feeling better today, not bloated. One week from today is day 21 of the fast and the last day for me!

Thanks Tatauu and Jcmama, I'm down 8.6 pounds since I started the fast on the 2nd. So two weeks. I'm happy with that. My usual goal is 1.5 -2 pounds a week.

Thanks Melissa and Liv! Liv I have a couple small hand weights that I use (when I remember) for my arms. I may have to consider joining a gym because my only exercise is walking. I think the hills are good for my legs but I may need some weights like they have at the gym. There is one just outside the gates of my neighborhood. I thought it was expensive $40-$45 a month and very small. And they had a "processing fee", something $100+. Thanks just a junk fee. They told me I could come only when I wanted to for $5 a visit if I didn't want to join. I thought about it just to see if I liked it. And there is a bigger gym in the next town over, where my doctor is. I might check it out next time I go into town. But I can't see me making a 32 mile round trip to go to the gym very often.

Check in on the little one for that 5 dollars. There is a lot you can do without joining a gym. Some people feel that gym is good for them as it makes them focus better

Liv - I think I will check out the gym that is so close. Can try it once a week for $5 a visit and if I feel like I'd go at least twice a week I'd consider joining it. 2 years ago I lost about 55 pounds and my skin got saggy in places - on the sides just below the hip bone and of course, my upper arms. When I gained the weight back the skin filled in again. So I'd like to figure out away to avoid that again. I enjoy walking and am getting better at the hills. Walked for 90 minutes today with lots of ups and downs in the streets and the trail.
