Guess it depends on how accurate the maintenance calories are. I wouldn't think so. Never really thought about it but if muscle takes less calories to gain then fat takes to lose..maybe? But the your maintenance calories may no longer be maintenance if you gain so you'd lose fat until you were back to the same weight? Idk man lol
