Day 1 of a planned 3 days of ‘no solid food’ fasting Blood sugar 95 mg/dL
I don’t listen to anyone on this site. What I do is watch what people are doing.
I do this because Hormones Matter. Hormones such as insulin, thyroid, estrogen and testosterone control how my body will respond to any plan I may have.
For example, it is also totally normal for testosterone levels in men to fall as they age (“testosterone levels may decline about 1 percent per year after age 30” https://bit.ly/2DGDPM4). The symptoms of the reduction in this one hormone can be ‘reduced muscle bulk and strength’, ‘decreased bone density’, ‘large breasts’, ect.
I primary watch people who are my age and body type. I carefully examine what they eat, the exercise they journal about, their weight loss and gain.
Armed with this information, and data from tracking my own results, I then make my decisions.
