I finally decided to step on the scale yesterday. It was worse than I expected. I consoled myself that it was after 2 mugs of coffee and half a a bagel so my usual first thing in the morning weight could be as much as 4 pounds lower. It wasn't. I weighed myself this morning and although 2 pounds lower than yesterday it is still 7 pounds higher than my posted weight. I know all the reasons why. I've been getting food at restaurants to bring home and don't make healthy choices. Especially because I wait until I'm really hungry before going out to get something. Anyway, the weight I saw on the scale yesterday motivated me enough to get the microwave out of the closet in spite of it being so heavy I could hardly get it to the kitchen. But it's there now and yesterday I had a Lean Cuisine and then later half a tuna sandwich. Will probably have the same thing today. In January I set a goal to to exceed 100 carbs grams a day. Yesterday it was nearly 170 even though calories were fine. It was the Lean Cuisine (over 50 grams), half a bagel and a slice of potato bread. I also had a honey crisp apple. Still, it was much better than the chicken strips I've several times and am now craving.

No one looked at my house over the weekend. I was happy about that on Saturday when it was pouring rain all day, was windy and very cold for May. Then yesterday there was a garage sale at many houses so maybe that kept people away. I'm not expecting any one this week based on the last 2 weeks.

We have sold a lot of homes and they often take a while. Usually we had at least one offer from people who didn't have any money. Sometimes we got our asking price, Sometimes not. Have you gotten any feedback from the showings and realtors?

Morticia, some feedback is a couple people really like the house but it is too big for them. Lots of retired, single people looking and my house is big for one house. I might call and ask about the people who saw it over a week ago. One group had kids and came over in a golf cart. Lots of people who live here drive around in golf carts a so the kids might have been visiting grandparents. But it is a perfect family home with 4 bedrooms and the master bedroom on the opposite side of the house from the other bedrooms. But no negative feedback on price

I’m sorry the house sale is causing undue stress in different aspects of your life, Fritzy. Hope you find some balance soon and don’t let it get you down. As you find that balance, remember you are doing your best.

You will be back on track soon. Try your best to eat healthy and try to buy healthier snacks. Bread will get you every time! I'm sure it's the stress of this whole ordeal and like you said you are having to eat out every day.

Thanks Moko. I knew having my house for sale while still living in it would really be hard. But I really thought it would sell right away. I don't like cooking so now I have an excuse not to. I am a worrier, always have been. Call it anxiety, stress or whatever but I learned it from my mom. Thanks for your support.

Thanks Diana! I've been spending money, close to $20 a meal getting food out. But not much at the grocery store. I did good yesterday and so far today. I know most people don't think eating Lean Cuisines is healthy but if it keeps me in line as far as calories I'll eat them for now. Years ago, while still working I lost 40 pounds and I had a Lean Cuisine for lunch about 3 times a week. The one I had today was much lower in carbs, salisbury steak and macaroni and cheese. Sometimes I can't avoid bread. Today I had half a tuna sandwich and then 1/2 bagel with coffee this morning. I need to go get some roasted, salted pumpkin seeds, I was having them almost every day for a healthy snack. Just 2 tablespoons. And low fat mozzarella cheese sticks get me more protein. But I owe my neighbor 2 lunches out for things he is helping me with around the house. And when I spend money eating out, I usually get what I want. Anyway, I'm always starting over it seems.
