power still out? Can you light a fire? be well

The power is only out in my office. The rain affected a GFCI outlet in my office which is a converted garage in my back yard. That’s why I’m working in my house in the living room. House is warmer and I have a fireplace. Not running the central heat because people are getting crazy bills for more than $500 a month just for heat. I called an electrician and he told me to hold off calling him until it dries out and he’ll replace the plug and run down any other issues with that circuit at the same time. San Diego is a wonderful place, but the power companies really have us under their thumb. Supposedly, we have the highest electric rates in the country. Great to be that special.

I did the no heat thing just before Christmas when our furnace died! So I feel ya. No fun! Hope you have some warm layers to carry you through.
