A delicious meal from yesterday and today's workout. I had two people tell me I looked huge today so week was made. A teenager I've never seen before and a police officer that I haven't seen in a while. Also, I'm pretty happy with benching 190 for 35 reps and 200 for 28. Bodyweight for 28 is pretty good. It's been higher like when I was 185 pounds, but I'll take it.

have you always done such high rep ranges or is that something you adapted to over time as it became more difficult to gain more muscle mass from years of training

No, I used to do the more usual 5-15 reps but I love higher reps now. I still have some lower reps sets, especially the rest pause ones that I do often. I do a set for 15-20 and then rest 10-15 seconds and do another and another. A lot of my sets are 1 set and 2-4 sets after brief rests like that.

nice, that's what I figured since your rep ranges are pretty much the opposite of everything else I have read. pretty awesome that you have found what works for you to still be able to add muscle after so many years of training

I've seen recent studies advising that upwards of 30 reps are still good for building and it lines up with my results. The key is taking the set to near failure. It's been better for my joints to go light.
