Just checking in briefly - busy day, training, cleaning for weekend company, traveling an hour for an evening shift this afternoon.
Not really watching what I eat but I went shopping and got lots of salads, precut and ready for measurable dressings etc.

From the Time-Life mag (synopsis): Exercise is good for everything to do with your health, but not great for weight loss. Keeping calories in check and eating healthy foods is the best for weight loss. What exercise does in weight loss is to reduce inflammation, because the body will burn calories to keep the muscles supplied with energy instead of resorting to causing inflammation (that is my interpretation of the study cited, anyway).

So while exercise is not the best way to lose weight, exercise uses what we eat to do positive things to our bodily systems, while being sedentary does negative things.
