Up 2.2 lbs. ☆ Not gonna cry over this.
I didn't log my food or weigh in for 6 days. I was in Texas visiting my Daughter, Grandsons, Granddaughter & Great- Grands...2...one of each 😊 We were on the go a lot! We had a party to celebrate the newest member of the family..."R" who arrived 6 weeks ago. He's adorable & sweet, doing what babies do...eating & sleeping 😴 "B"....his big sis, is 18 months old & a little firecracker! It was lots of fun playing with her. She's beginning to talk & she warmed up to me fast. I last saw her in December.
My daughter closed on a new house May 5th & is doing some renos before moving in. My sisters & I had fun going thru the house & helping her make choices about things to change. We shopped for tile to redo her master bath (shower & floor), a vanity for the master bath & a new dining room chandelier. We also gave our input on changes to the kitchen. Tuesday, we helped her tear out a strangely configured pantry that she's planning to enlarge & put a barn door on. We started removing tile in the guest bath, where she's planning to replace with shiplap. We also sat on her front porch to relax a bit after helping trim several crepe myrtle bushes.
We had a picnic at her neighbor's farm with the Grandsons & rode around on the golf cart to see the property & all the wildflowers.
Meanwhile, we spent one evening researching where to stay at PC Beach in Florida next month. My 3 sisters, daughter & I are going. We found a place & got that booked.
We only ate out once (lunch on Monday) & I chose to build a salad @ Jason's Deli. We bought barbecue sandwiches @ Buc-ee's that we supplemented with pasta salad & stuff we'd brought out to the house to eat. We were shopping for souvenirs....T shirts for my sisters & I bought a hat. Friday we ate in....grilled chicken thighs, salad & corn on tne cob. We had all the party food on Saturday, then leftovers for the rest of the week. One of my Grandsons came over Saturday morning & helped cook eggs, tortillas, bacon & hashbrowns. We also had Mimosas 🥂 Breakfast the rest of the time was my usual combo of fresh fruit, half a bagel & coffee. Meals were kinda sporadic & there may have been some nibbling on snacks & dessert 😉 A few adult beverages were consumed, too. All in all, I ate things out of my usual WOE but didn't go crazy.
Yesterday, I was back in time for Book Club. Dinner was Chicken Paprikash, salad & pineapple. We had an amazing appetizer of smoked salmon on toast points with cream cheese, onion & capers! Dessert was Cherry Crumble, Ice Cream, Cream Cheese Brownies & strawberries.
So....then I weighed in this morning. You can understand why 2 lbs. up didn't phase me.
Well, I've written a book. Need to get up to bed & sleep. Optometrist Appt. tomorrow, then hopefully, back to the Gym.
