Now I don't feel so bad ! I skipped yesterday's workout myself. But what I'm finding is that I'm making more gains this way.

I didn't gain too much weight...only a pound or two, but I find I'm MORE sore if I skip a day (I think from not flushing out the lactic acid...I tend to just sit around if I'm not working out, so, it doesn't have a chance to be flushed out).

Interesting on the article, Chris... you can tell how long I've been away from it...we were always told it was from the lactic acid buildup. I'm not at the point of having to use ibuprofen quite yet...as you can see from my workouts, I'm still taking it relatively easy (in terms of sheer number of exercises per body part)...but, I've been conditioned to lift heavy...I was initially a hard gainer (at 18), but kept at it and became somewhat of a circus act with the weights I was lifting. So, I'm no stranger to the heavy stuff. Need to get back to the cardio, though...always hated that, lol.
