Weigh-in for the challenge is tomorrow and, barring overnight miracles, I know the results aren't going to be what I hoped for. I don't think I have lost but instead have gained a couple tenths of a pound. This weekend I plan to try a couple challenge recipes to get points for my team. And Welchmom2 and I are having a challenge within a challenge-- for us both to get from 204 down to 200 in 2 weeks. I'm afraid I have more faith in her ability to do that than in my own, but I must work at thinking more positively. I am in a good groove today and I think I can meet our shared goal if I really focus.

Today was not bad, food and exercise wise. I love exercise, so no problem there. I ate healthily, not too much and not too little, although I did eat a bit of fruit tart when I was definitely full. The most eventful thing that happened was that for lunch I went to a catered work-related luncheon and freaked out over not knowing how many calories were in my food. I ate anyway, though. Oh, the day when I am skinny again and can eat around others with ease! How I look forward to it.

Work has been very busy and I've been working overtime. I've been having heartburn as a result of the related stress. Because I normally only have heartburn when I am hungry, I responded to it at it first by reaching for food. Then I had the instinct to start counting my calories again (loosely, in my paper journal) and realized that what I needed to do was breathe, and not eat. So I'm afraid that's why I'm not going to be much help for my team weight-wise this week, but there's always next week. And four more weeks after that...
