I cooked on a windjammer on the coast of Maine for a summer on a wood stove! It was really hard being the only cook but my mess mate was wonderful. I couldn't get much time to myself so I treasured 4AM because I was the only person awake in the galley and that was my sanctuary every day. Drinking fresh brewed coffee on topside while the muffins, bread and pies were cooking. Be sure to take moments for yourself. It really helps to decompress with such a busy life and career.☺️
