Did my first treadmill workout ever last night. It did make it less horrible and I did the entire 30 minutes (35, actually) without getting bored or distracted. Works in a pinch. Followed with weights. May actually try a running one at some point, but gotta be careful with the knees. It is not a great way for me to burn calories efficiently compared to walking outside or swimming. Another interesting thing is that the treadmill calorie count was almost double the watch (note: I never believe these). Sticking with the watch for consistency though. I was definitely sweaty at the end although never out of breath or tired, but it was less than half of a normal walk with the beasts and sissy hills although that was my choice with that workout since I had no idea what to expect. Will choose a harder one next time.

Feeling better this morning, think I'll make it through this episode with no drama. Yay!

You, too! It's raining right now, but if there's no lightning, I'm swimming later. Even though I'm going to freeze getting out.

Try listening to an audio book or watching tv while on the treadmill 😊 I actually look forward to getting on the treadmill so I can continue the book 😉

Be careful w/those knees. Running can be actually bad for your knees. Don't hurt them, bc then you won't be able to do anything. Don't forget to warm up for 10 minutes, on tread, b4 you get into your cardio session, with another 5-10 minute cool down b4 getting off the tread. Stretching is good too. Don't 4get 2stretch. Take it easy and listen to your body always. Keep it going!!! :)

Can you watch tv while doing it? I find that really helps pass the time. I have to be careful with my knees too and I don't burn as many cals as when I walk either. If your going slow enough and your tethered to it you can do some arm circles or raises to bring your heart rate up but just don't fall off!!! I found i can't text and do treadmill. 😋

I try watching TV but still get bored pretty quickly. It is truly my last resort for days when it's late and I can't do anything else. I've also got to get rid of the treadmill squeak. Tried a bunch of stuff, it gets better, but starts again. Makes me crazy.

Good for you Katsolo!! Our treadmill is folded up in the garage, I thought wow that’s a good spot I can unfold it and use it there - that was like two years ago I said that. With my busy schedule I just have time to fold clothes.😄

Shrewdness, I’ve made that mistake before myself, but not with a treadmill. Other stuff. Not with a garage, but with a back bedroom that we ended up calling the room of denial after awhile. It became a storage area. So i moved. Problem solved. 🤣
