Counting calories, exercising, and having a strong sense of resolve are helping to move the scale in the right direction. I have a family dinner I will be providing on Saturday and a meal with friends on Friday. I want to keep my momentum and make good choices. Social events are one of the situations that really challenges me. J

Thanks Bill. I have a push pull kind of feeling about social situations because I would like to just be free to be unaware of food and choices and not have to divide my attention from blissfully enjoying the event. However, what works for me is to plan, focus on choices while socializing. More practice may make this more of an automatic process. I welcome more opportunities like this. J
