We are home now after visiting my husband's sister. She tried to talk to us almost the entire time we were there, about an hour. There was only one word we could understand, the name of her sister. I just talked about old times mostly, and she even smiled a little several times. We tried to tell funny stories, like when she stole her sisters candy out from under her pillow, where she had hidden it. This sister would eat all her own, then sneak in and steal her sisters, after she fell asleep.
I also kept telling her how much I loved her, and then told her also how much Jesus loves her. She will be gone in a day or two. Just remember, none of us are going to make it out alive. Consider now, how much the Father loves you, that He sent his Son, so we can go live with Him for all eternity. He wants you to go live with Him. But He won't force you. If you don't want to spend time with Him in this life, He won't force you to spend time with Him in the next.
We have to accept (or reject) that gift. It's our choice. Marriage is a choice. You either do it, or you don't. You can't be on the fence. Unless you go ahead, and "do" it, you haven't. None of us are perfect, so just admit it and tell Him you're sorry, and accept His free gift and invite Him into your heart. Read the book of John in the Bible. The very first verse calls Jesus the “word” and tells us He was with God, and that He is God. Then it goes on in the next verses to tell us He made everything (along with the Father and the “Spirit”).
By the time you get to chapter 3, verse 16, it will tell you that God loves you so much, He gave His only son, so if you believe in Him, you will have eternal life. Now that's not just believing that it really happened. Even Satan believes that. It means to “keep on believing”, accepting it for yourself. Being good doesn't count for anything as far as getting into Heaven “so no man can boast”. It's just right that we will then “want” to be good, as we try to grow. We will never be perfect, I think you know that already. It doesn't matter what you think of me, for writing this. It's just that this is the most important thing in the whole world. I will be leaving some day, and I want you to have the opportunity to hear the truth. To have the opportunity to choose. Some people have never heard clearly. Just invite Him into your heart and life. And then tell somebody. I would so love to hear. And the angels in Heaven will be jumping up and down with joy, and so will I.
